Heating accounts for over 35% of the overall CO2 emissions for the UK each year. Installing a heat pump provides an opportunity to reduce carbon emissions, save on fuel and provide a sustainable solution. At the Green Building Site we supply all 3 types of heat pump  - Air Source, Ground Source and Geothermal manufactured by DeLonghi-Climaveneta who have over 35 years of market leading experience.

What are heat pumps? They take low grade energy from the earth or air and convert it into high grade heat energy to be used within the home.
Likened to fridges in reverse they extract heat from whichever environment they are designed to operate in i.e. the ground, water or air and the energy is converted into heat and distributed throughout the property.

Domestic and Commercial Applications. - DeLongi- Climaventa have a wide range of products rated from 4.5KW to 250KW, capable of providing heating, hot water, cooling and heat recovery systems. This broad range makes them equally suitable for both domestic and commercial situations,  individual flats to large homes, industrial units to major production facilities.

Types of heat pump

spair source heat pumps
Air source heat pumps - convert the solar energy stored in the outside air into heat. Air source heat pumps have lower investment costs than other type of heat pump and can be used in built up areas. They produce heat equivalent to three and a half times the electrical energy used.

Ground source heat pumps - use solar energy naturally stored in soil or rock ground source heat pumpsas a heat source Since the temperatures are usually higher underground, geothermal ground systems typically cost less to operate than other heat pumps.  They produce heat equivalent to five times the electrical energy used.
